    • Checking balance: $3,644.78
    • Petty cash: $5.00
    • CD: $15,616.61 (The CD matured and rolled over)
  • Minutes: Minutes were approved as posted on the website.

Unfinished Business

  • Scholarships: 4 names were submitted. After much discussion a motion was made and seconded to accept one person. All other approved except one board member who abstained. Another person is being considered.
  • Skydiver lounge: Bill will have a report at the membership meeting tomorrow.
  • Pacific Science Center Fund Raiser. Two certificates were sent. The DZ is splitting it with us, so we still have our commitment for one, but get exposure on two.

Events

  • John Hamilton: will be kept a Vengeance activity due to lack of commitment by the membership.
  • Ben Boogie: Nothing to report.
  • 6 Way Scrambles: Scott Callantine may be putting it together.
  • Scott Watkins is planning a Hybrid Day, July 24th. Sign-up sheet at the DZ.
  • Other: Need to schedule the Gonna Be day.
  • Josh Whipple Ash Jump is July 16th. All the slots are full, but everyone is welcome to watch from the ground.
  • Northwest Skydiving League 4-way meet is the last weekend in July.

New Business

  • Northwest Canopy Piloting Circuit meet is July 17th, also the Seattle Skydivers Day. We will ask the membership if the club should provide something for a potluck after the meet. Since there is already an established potluck on SSD Day, we feel the club should contribute hamburgers and buns for it.
  • NWSL: We will ask the club if they want to hold another pancake breakfast and BBQ after, as we did last year.
  • Airport Defense Issues: Elaine received an email from Kandace Harvey-Stiffler that was too full of legalese to read. Elaine will ask her to be specific on what the club and jumpers can do to help the airport.

Safety

  • Elaine reported Linny's reserve opened on the ground. Her reserve cable is too long and the ball on the end got lodged in the slot on her leg strap ring. Her reserve opened as she was walking out to the plane. Charlie suggested that it be written up as an incident and sent to USPA.
  • While Todd was repacking Krisanne's reserve, he noticed that the closing loop was frayed. He replaced it. After two closing loops broke while he was closing, closer inspection revealed that the cutter was protruding. It will be repaired or sent back to Vigil.
  • Dave Correia suggested that the X in the east field be moved closer to the center of the field, away from the fairly new gravel road.

Announcements

  • Deb will not be here in August or September so Elaine will run those meetings.
  • Be on the watch out for planes during the Arlington Air show!

Meeting adjourned.

Respectfully submitted,
Cindy Kew
