Unfinished Business
- Dues: Everyone in the room has renewed!
- Scholarships: The board has selected one person and is considering another.
- Skydiver lounge: Bill reported. He and Tim have been looking into it, but Tim has been a bit distracted by his wedding and honeymoon. The existing loft has been measured so it can be put into the CAD program. They are looking at how other DZ's use portable metal buildings and the cost for them. More details will follow.
New Business
- NWCPC (Northwest Canopy Piloting Circuit) meet is July 17th, also the Seattle Skydivers Day. Membership all approved that the club will provide hamburgers for the potluck. The competitors will not have to bring a potluck item to be able to eat.
- NWSL: Membership approved another pancake breakfast and BBQ after the meet.
We need someone to be in charge of these events. Elaine will send out an email asking for volunteers.
- Airport Defense Issues: Issues regarding support of airport with city and county. More details will follow. The idea is to not be antagonistic, but to write letters and go to hearings and show support for the airport. The three basic problems are:
- New condo, hotel, boutiques, etc may be built on the north side of the river across from the DZ. Could generate noise issues, etc. Need letters written, attendance and support at meetings.
- Airport land is currently zoned allowing further development at the airport, and needs to be zoned as-is to continue to support all aviation activity at the airport – including skydiving. It has been an ongoing problem maintaining the zoning on both the city and county levels.
- Trees at the end of the runway are getting too tall. The issue is they are on county land and the county is not maintaining.

Safety
- Elaine reported Linny's reserve opening on the ground. Her reserve cable is too long and the ball on the end got lodged in the slot on her leg strap ring. Her reserve opened as she was walking out to the plane. Charlie suggested that it be written up as an incident and sent to USPA.
- While Todd was repacking Krisanne's reserve, he noticed that the closing loop was frayed. He replaced it. After two closing loops broke while he was closing, closer inspection revealed that the cutter was protruding. It will be repaired or sent back to Vigil.
- We all need to be giving gear checks on the ground and in the plane.
Meeting adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
