Event Status:
- Staff Appreciation Day - April Eft was unable to meet with Tyson and Elaine Harvey but will reschedule the meeting this month. She needs volunteers to help. The tentative date is July 15 and $500 was requested to purchase items for the 25-30 staff members.
- Free Fly Organizing - Guano has two members, Chris and Pete, that will be here June 30 - July 2nd. There will be an entry fee. Ideal registration - $20 for Seattle Skydiver Members and $40 for non-members. The club will pay for the slot, however you pay the registration fee. There will be 1:1 coaching. There will be 2 rigs each and additional cost pack jobs. There also will be some small group jumps. Everyone loves a hybrid! It seems there are about 30-40 people participating. There also will be video debriefs at the end of the day. Tyson needs to be asked about discount jumps. These may possibly be at an employee discount. If there is bad weather, safety and topics about freeflying will be covered. Karen Alexander will send out announcements to tell everyone when they will be coming. One other coaching group may come over the summer.
- Specialty Aircraft - Todd Davis is out of town but will cover this event. Suggestions include balloon and helicopter.
- Wing Suit Day- This is set for April 29-30. There may be another date set in late June.
- ABCD Jumps - Deb Correia is in charge of these jumps that consist of various levels of licensed jumpers. The schedule continues to be worked out due to Vengeance and their schedule demands. Most likely these dates will be in July and August. A larger plane will be needed . There will be scrambles and 4-way with video. The group would be arranged and organized by a specific coach so that the group would be balanced. Deb will talk with Tyson about the cost of the jumps.
- Al Zilk - This will take place on May 6th. Bill Kelly suggested that the pancake breakfast is continued. April Eft, Christine Daniels and Karen Alexander volunteered to organize the breakfast for that morning. Dinner would be about $5.00 per person with simple hamburgers and hot dogs. Jesus will be contacted to possibly donate salmon or another type of fish. Bill Kelly and Karen Alexander will try to arrange for a “fancy” meal. If that doesn’t work out, it’s hamburgers!
- Easter Egg Hunt - On Sunday April 16th at 10:00am, we are having another Easter Egg Hunt! Bring your family and have some fun!
